The Privacy and Access Council of Canada is developing a roster of lawyers nation-wide who are interested in offering pro bono services to work on specific issues and offer legal advice as the need arises. Expertise in privacy, access, civil liberties and constitutional law are sought in particular.
PACC neither represents nor advocates on behalf of individuals. The non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization is a voice for privacy and access in Canada, and speaks on behalf of its members and other concerned Canadians. PACC supports effective privacy and access legislation that preserves and strengthens democratic and Charter-protected freedoms. Pro bono assistance is needed to develop position papers for submission to legislative bodies.
PACC is aware of significant issues and is developing a national strategy with a view to ensuring the best possible outcomes in legislative modernization.
We are looking for lawyers across the country who possess relevant expertise and are willing to be placed on a roster.
To become involved and support PACC send an email to President (at) pacc-ccap.ca to inquire about how to join our roster of pro bono lawyers.
