Ricardo Hoar is Chair, Computer Science & Information Systems at Mount Royal University and, since 2011, has been on the Executive of the Canadian Association of Computer Science. He hold Masters degrees in computer science from the University of Calgary, and has spoken at conferences around the world.
Ricardo’s research interests include transportation modelling including a sophisticated web‐based map‐driven public transit system. His industry experience includes systems administration and programming for start-ups, security commissions and universities. His ongoing consulting business (Surje Software Solutions Inc) has created numerous iPad and iPhone applications and continues to design, deploy and administer many web sites and web apps for clients from across Canada.
