"I thought the conference was great, and especially enjoyed learning about new technologies and their privacy and security impacts."
Privacy Counsel. Edmonton AB
Why Attend?
The PACC Congress takes a refreshingly pragmatic approach by presenting practical guidance from a truly varied assortment of perspectives and experiences. The Congress is also notable for what it doesn’t offer: theory, sales pitches, or recitations of annual reports.
The PACC Congress features a heavily participatory format that helps attendees develop practical skills in data protection, with real-life expertise offered by top industry leaders, engaging speakers, and executive panel discussions. Speakers from different locations, sectors, and organizations offer a range of views that are never the same-old, same-old.
The Congress is about quality, not quantity and that’s another reason why Congress attendees and speakers are unequivocal in their praise.
"Thank you, so very much, for an excellent conference. This was so interesting (and eye-opening!)." Senior Policy Advisor. Office of the Senate Liberal Leader. Ottawa ON

The Congress is a unique professional development opportunity
- Sessions are longer than at most conferences (though we’re flattered to see other conferences have started offering longer sessions).
- The few panels we do have are generally even longer — so everyone has time to share their insights.
- Formal presentations are shorter — so that speakers have plenty of time to present their views, and delegates have time to ask questions and get real, unscripted answers.
- We encourage speakers to leave the PowerPoint presentations behind so that delegates and speakers can engage in meaningful conversations, rather than focusing on a screen.
- We require speakers to avoid pitching their products or services. After all, you’re here to learn and be informed, not to be sold to. (The few who have disregarded that requirement have not been, and will not be, invited back. It’s a matter of integrity, respect, and trust.)
To accomplish all of that, registration is strictly limited.
