SUMMARY:Smart Glasses and the Privatisation of Surveillance
DESCRIPTION:All eyes are on smart glasses. These AI-powered devices raise several privacy concerns — from covert surveillance to processing of sensitive data — and have been the subject of much controversy. \n\n\n\nJoin Luisa Maciel Perez as she explores the latest findings about Meta’s AI glasses’ impacts on the rights to privacy and data protection. Originally from Brazil\, she will soon be graduating from the European Master in Law\, Data and AI (EMILDAI)\, an ERASMUS MUNDUS program coordinated by Dublin City University in partnership with Avignon Université and Università di Pisa\, with a double specialisation in data governance and AI ethics. Her background spans multiple legal domains\, gained through experience at various law firms in Brazil and international research organisations\, most notably the ADAPT Research Centre at Trinity College Dublin and the Privacy & Access Council of Canada. Luisa is also an AIGP\, CIPP/E\, CIPM and CDPO/BR certified professional. \n\n\n\n
