Reporting to the Director of Utilization & MAOHT Clinical Coordination, the Manager of Health Information Services, Patient Registration and Privacy is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational requirements of Health Information and Patient Registration Services across all MAHC sites. This position performs data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing data requests and complies with strict adherence to privacy legislation.
Currently certified from the Canadian College of Health Information Management possessing a CHIM designation, you have an undergraduate degree in Health Information Management, Health Policy, Health Administration or you are a graduate from a CCHIM accredited HIM Program. You possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in health information management including 3 years’ current management / leadership experience in a hospital health records environment.
Your recent experience and knowledge in overseeing the day-to-day operational requirements of Health Information and Patient Registration Services is complemented by your superb analytical skills, knowledge and adherence to privacy legislation, paired with superb working knowledge and experience with ICD10-CA/CCI, MIS and other data collection systems, and industry databases such as CIHI, MOHLTC. You also possess excellent computer skills and familiarity having worked with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
