Senior Privacy Access Specialist — FCC — Regina SK/Montreal QC/Ottawa ON

Privacy expertise required:

Support FCC’s privacy and access to information program, including by completing complex requests for information, privacy risk assessments and incident handling. Play an important role in developing and implementing an evolving enterprise privacy program for the organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Help interpret, educate and administer FCC’s privacy and access to information program
  • Assist in administering FCC’s responsibilities under the Privacy Act and the Access to Information Act
  • Prepare formal responses for requests for information under the Privacy Act, the Access to Information Act and similar requests
  • Receive and investigate certain privacy breach incidents and prepare the necessary responses, reporting and communication for review
  • Create and maintain records for reporting purposes
  • Help with document recovery and requests for information

What we’re looking for:

  • Problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities and requests at one time
  • Conceptual thinker able to make value-added analysis and recommendations
  • Collaborative team player who excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data
  • A desire to learn, develop and apply knowledge and skills related to privacy and access

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in administration, communication or business and at least four years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience in a privacy or access to information role is an asset
  • Experience with workflow and documentation systems is an asset
