Uncovering Secret Canada

In 2022, The Globe and Mail embarked on “Secret Canada,” an ongoing investigation of the many issues with Canada’s access-to-information systems at all levels of government. In the months since, reporters have spoken to countless experts, filed hundreds of access requests, and reported on the cracks in the country’s strained transparency mechanisms.
