The Facial Recognition Technology Roundtable is an opportunity for sworn members of Canada’s Law Enforcement community to offer insights on the use of facial recognition technology (FRT) by police across Canada, and on the legal and policy framework for police use of FRT.
Roundtable results will contribute to guidance being developed by Information and Privacy Commissioners on the use of FRT by federal, provincial, regional and municipal police agencies across Canada, and on the legal and policy framework for police use of FRT. All comments and insights will remain anonymous (unless otherwise specifically requested).
Please Note: This event is for sworn members of federal, provincial, regional and municipal police agencies to ensure their views are taken into account in the development of the guidelines.
