Privacy and Access Council of Canada

The voice for privacy and access

Professional Development

When it comes to privacy and access-to-information laws, technology, and practices, it is vital to have a correct understanding of the requirements and implications. Without that, it’s difficult to know the questions to ask — and easy to be at the mercy of industry groups, technology proponents, and others who are adept at framing issues to nudge behavior and public policy.

The list of courses and programs below might be of interest to anyone who wants to increase their knowledge about privacy, access, and data protection — particularly those interested in pursuing PACC Professional Certification.

Many of the courses and programs listed below reflect the Core Competencies and Professional Standards, the Common Body of Knowledge for Information Privacy and Access to Information, and qualify for Continuing Professional Development credits applicable toward PACC Professional Certification.
